I thoroughly enjoy your blog, Ned. The first time one of my blog posts went "viral" was when my tales of poor internet (https://www.tidbitsfortechs.com/2013/12/surviving-internet-on-low-speed-dsl/) hit the front page of slashdot back in 2013. I got lots of constructive comments. And lots of... not. I also enjoy silly story titles that might lose on accuracy but gain on silliness. And I hope you'll continue doing that. It's a lot of fun!

Just keep writing what *you* love to write, and your readership will catch up. When I write something and I see people unsubscribe, I am glad because they wouldn't have been as happy as the next subby will be :)

Mad Ned your newsletter is fantastic and your titles are great!

The point of a title is to get someone to open it of course. Pirates of the 7 CDs was hilarious, and yes it does tell us who to invite (and not) to parties!

We need a script to where any post with privile* is automatically deleted. After that, we’ll use some fancy AI to track down the author and send a drone to deliver a cream pie to the face. The drone, of course, will subsequently post the video on Reddit and bring it full circle.

Keep up the great work!

Wow, sorry to hear you've had so many negative experiences with the general public. I'll tell you what I told someone else recently, who was dealing with a significant amount of blowback:

"Some create, others destroy. Most are indifferent. It might be easier if we were all indifferent, but it sure would be a lot less interesting."

Basically, creators seem to draw in destroyers. The act of creation can bring happiness and joy to the indifferent, but the indifferent cannot reciprocate. All the destroyer can do is tear down and belittle. The only power of a destroyer is simply to undo what creators have already done. You should keep doing what you're doing, not to entertain the indifferent or to challenge the destroyers, but instead because creating is something that you enjoy, something that you derive satisfaction from, and something that gives you purpose or meaning.

There will always be negative people doing negative, horrible things. The Bible calls these people mockers (Job 17:2, Psalm 1:1, Proverbs 1:22), fools (Psalm 39:8), attackers and destroyers (Nahum 2:1-2). That is, for many thousands of years these sorts have existed. They will always be there, and will always do what their evil thoughts tell them to do. The only solace we should take in such actions is that they are controlled by the desires of their hearts, not by the commands of God, the love of their brothers, or the spirit of harmony. Their evil ways control them entirely.

I for one hope you continue to raise the ire of the neckbeards (is that one word or two?) with your completely accidental, and totally not brilliant trolling article titles.
